Training placement (6 positions)

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the world's leading humanitarian NGOs, has been working in Sudan since 2004. The program is mostly focused on conflict-affected populations living outside camps in rural areas. The DRC Sudan has an office in Khartoum and operations are largely in central Darfur.

The Danish Refugee Council is currently looking for new graduates or graduates with little experience in Sudan, who are keen to build their skills in support areas - including finance, human resources, supply chain, program management and implementation, and an SMT assistant in the humanitarian sector. Business and program support teams work side by side to provide effective services to vulnerable people in Sudan within DRC frameworks and donors.


About training

The trainee, under the direction and guidance of the Section Chief, will work to facilitate the overall operations of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the specific area of ​​work. The job holder will be exposed to several tasks in the department and is expected to have understood the core financial, human resources, supply chain, program support and senior management tasks by the end of the training period. They will work closely with other teams from other support departments in Khartoum and the field. Some field travel will be needed, to better understand business processes in the field.

The training period is planned for three months, renewable for a maximum of six months depending on performance. The salary will be paid during the training period according to DRC policy.

Location: Khartoum based, with some travel to Zalingei, Garsila, Nerti and other field locations.

Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Social Sciences, Management or others as appropriate, in the areas of Finance, Human Resources and Supply Chain. Vocational qualification is an added advantage.

Other details related to you:

· Fluency in English and Arabic (speaking, writing and reading).

Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

· Excellent communication skills

Self-driven, proactive and eager to learn.

Able to work in a multicultural environment

Good organization, efficient time management, ability to prioritize tasks,

· Confidence in progressive management is especially necessary for the SMT Intern assistant
