Responsibilities:
Arranging & coordinating all aspects related to:
Inbound logistics
- The inbound clearance procedures of trucks/cargo coming from Egypt- The inbound movement of trucks from Egypt from the border to the slaughterhouse- The inbound movement of trucks (loaded or empty) coming to load for other export markets- All inbound custom clearance activities, including spare parts, equipment, packaging material etc.- Inbound logistics/transportation of live cattle in coordination with the company’s procurement department
Outbound Logistics:
- The outbound clearance procedures for meat being exported to Egypt and other export markets- Loading of trucks carrying Egypt shipments in compliance with a defined production plan and shipping schedule- The outbound movement of trucks to Egypt from the slaughterhouse to the border- The outbound movement of trucks going other export markets 7- Arranging and overseeing all aspects of freight services (air freight, sea freight, trucking etc) for outbound shipments. – especially air freight shipments of chilled meat to the GCC.
More Specific Points:
- Coordinating and receiving trucks on the basis of a defined shipping plan- Overseeing the proper loading of trucks in adherence to the defined loading configuration and quality standards- Planning and managing all aspects of outbound shipments by air freight, including:- Communicating/confirming shipping volumes and times and securing confirmed capacity allocations from the air freight carriers, in line with the company’s plans- Overseeing loading and shipping of product from the slaughterhouse onto refrigerated trucks.- All operations details related to refrigerated trucks carrying product to the airport- Loading of product onto containers with all necessary arrangements (dry ice etc) and onto the plane- Following up on shipment and confirming successful arrival of goods at destination.- Overseeing all matters relating to documentation relating to export shipments and inbound trucking assets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar role in company or in logistics or freight forwarding company
- Very efficient, with ability to manage and coordinate several different work streams at the same time- Strong attention to detail- Ability to work closely with outside logistics service providers (clearance agents, trucking companies, shipping companies)- Flexible, hard working, and capable of attending personally to various logistics operations during long hours, and sometimes taking place at difficult times of the day (example: Overseeing shipment of lamb at KRT airport at 5am).

Compensation Rang:
Compensation will vary significantly depending on the profile/caliber of the candidate
