GENERAL JOB PROVISIONS
In response to internal needs, assist the Procurement Manager in
sourcing out for goods and services from the right source, at the right
quality, quantity, price and time.
A – BASIC FUNCTION
-
Ensure proper implementation of policies & procedures related to procurement & purchase of goods & services.
-
Responsible for clearing and forwarding of imports/exports of non-hydrocarbon goods and materials.
-
Provide support to all class of Business & Services (CoB/S) to
timely acquire the needed goods & services at the right quality and
minimum cost.
-
Support CoB/S in the annual budget preparations via providing prices
of goods & services required and forecast of future changes in the
market prices.
-
Assist the Procurement Manager in the Management of contractors via ensuring compliance to policies and the KPIs.
-
Contribute to structural cost reduction and operational excellence through effective procurement processes.
-
Ensure staff compliance with the established procurement strategies;
agreements, and Contracting & Procurement Policies & Procedures
Manual (CPPM), including compliance with accountabilities for signed
agreements and centralized purchased orders (PO)

Scan the market to attain best quality and offers for goods and services required.
B – PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
-
Identification and execution of breakthrough cost reduction and business enhancing opportunities.
-
Management of the "Purchase-to-Pay" process via obtaining quotations,
performing quotations analysis i.e. price, quality, delivery etc. for
vendors’ selection, initiation of POs, follow-up with the
venders/suppliers for delivery, submit GRN for payment processing and
settlement.

Adhere to perform work to fulfil principles of transparency &confidentiality.

Assist in supplier Relationship Management via use of market intelligence data to select creditable vendors&suppliers.

Keep records, secure contracts documentations, keep systematic filing.

Import Management: Placement and follow-up of orders
with foreign suppliers, co-ordination with the clearing agent to ensure
timely clearing and eventual delivery of the consignments. Follow-up
foreign supplier payments to ensure timely settlement.

Contract Management: Establishment and maintenance of valid contract register.

Assist the Procurement Manager in compilation and submission of
monthly reports on Capital Expenditure and Procurement Effectiveness.

Assist the Procurement Manager in the disposal of company assets in accordance to the company policies and procedures.
C. PRE-ENTRY REQUESTED EXPERIENCE:
A university degree or 03 years diploma in Supply Chain, Business
Administration, Economics, law, Engineering or any other relevant field
combined with at least 03 years post qualification experience in
Purchasing and Supply in the commercial/private sector for the
university degree and 04 years’ experience for the 03 years diploma.

Fluent in English Language (reading, writing, speaking)

Very good skills in Office application in general, but in particular, excellent skills in MS Excel application.
